My ideal Sunday consists of a little bit of everything – fun, relaxation, and getting stuff done to get ready for the week. I like to wake up when I wake up (no alarm!) and forget about the concept of time. Do things at my own speed, in my own time.

It’s a reset button.

I’m sharing my Sunday checklist. It’s a helpful guide for me to recall “all the things”, but I don’t always check off everything and I don’t give myself a hard time if I choose to focus in one category. Or do nothing at all. 🙂

Around the house:

  • Put stuff away/ in it’s place
    • Step 1: Walk around the house, room to room, looking for items not in their place
    • Step 2: Put them in their place
    • Step 3: If they don’t have a “home”, an assigned or designated place, create one or get rid of it
  • Laundry (includes bed sheets and towels)
    • Fresh sheets on bed, fresh towels in bath
    • Fold and put away clothes
    • Empty laundry basket to start the week
  • Take out the trash (entire house)
  • Clear off desk/ organize papers
  • Clean bathrooms
    • Sink counter
    • Toilet
    • Bath tub (in preparation for a relaxing bath to end the day)
  • Clear off and wipe down surfaces: kitchen counters, dining room table, living room, coffee table and end tables
  • Mow the lawn and other outdoor maintenance
    • Paul mows front, I mow backyard (or one of us does the entire yard)

    • Chosen based on weather forecast
    • Includes workout clothes, socks and shoes
  • Lunches planned, organized in the fridge, and ready to throw in my bag
  • Dinners planned, deciding what nights we’ll cook vs. eat out
  • Work bag and purse emptied, organized, and repacked
  • Discuss upcoming week schedule with Paul
  • Coffee maker programmed and ready to brew (daily)
Rest and recharge:
  • Morning yoga and meditation (daily)
  • Take a nap if I have time
  • Relaxing bath before bed = my reward

    • Candles
    • Music
    • Face mask
